1. Who we are

This website (www.ihkhan.in) is operated by I. H. Khan and Associates ("we", "us", "our"), a tax and business consulting firm with offices in Mumbai and Thane, Maharashtra, India. We are the data fiduciary in respect of personal data collected through this website within the meaning of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

2. Information we collect

When you use our enquiry form, call us, or correspond with us, we may collect your name, telephone number, email address, the service you are interested in and the content of your message. If you become a client, we will collect additional information necessary to provide our services — such as PAN, Aadhaar, financial statements, bank statements, incorporation documents and identification documents — under a separate engagement letter. Our web server and analytics tools (if enabled) may also collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, pages visited and referring website.

3. How we use your information

We use your personal data to respond to your enquiry, to provide the services you have requested, to comply with our legal and professional obligations (including KYC and record-keeping requirements), to improve our website and, where you have agreed, to send you updates on tax and regulatory developments. We do not sell your personal data.

4. Legal basis and consent

By submitting the enquiry form you consent to the processing of the data you provide for the purposes above. Where we process data for clients, we do so for the performance of our engagement and to meet our legal obligations. You may withdraw your consent at any time by writing to us, although this may affect our ability to provide services.

5. Sharing of information

We may share your information with government authorities and regulators where required by law or for filings made on your behalf, with service providers who host our website, email or form-handling systems (such as Formspree or equivalent), and with professional advisers or overseas registered agents engaged on your instructions to set up or maintain entities abroad. All such parties are required to protect your information.

6. International transfers

Where you engage us for business setup in jurisdictions outside India, your documents will necessarily be shared with registered agents, banks and authorities in those jurisdictions. We will inform you of this at the time of engagement.

7. Data retention

Enquiry data is retained for up to 24 months unless you become a client. Client records are retained for the period required by Indian tax and professional regulations (generally eight years from the end of the relevant assessment year) and are then securely destroyed.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures — including access controls, encrypted storage and secure file-sharing — to protect your personal data. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Cookies

This website uses strictly necessary cookies and Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies to measure how visitors use the site — pages viewed, approximate location derived from a truncated IP address, and interactions such as clicking the WhatsApp or call buttons or sending an enquiry. We use this information only to understand and improve the site; it is not used to identify you personally. You can prevent analytics collection by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser. 10. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct and erase your personal data, to withdraw consent and to nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf, subject to applicable law.
